What art certification is

Certification is a documented record of a piece: what it is, who made it, when, how it was made, and the chain of ownership we were able to verify. It gives a buyer, a gallery, or an insurer something concrete to work from instead of a verbal history.

• Work record. Title, artist, dimensions, medium, materials, and date of completion.
• Photographic documentation. High resolution images of the front, back, signature, and any marks or damage.
• Provenance notes. Ownership history as far as it can be evidenced, with gaps stated plainly.
• Digital fingerprint. A cryptographic hash of the record and images, so any later alteration is detectable.

Choosing a tier

All three tiers produce a certificate and a digital record. They differ in how much documentation and verification work goes into it. Silver suits a single straightforward piece, Gold suits work being sold or exhibited, and Platinum suits higher value pieces or a full collection.

NFT minting and tokenisation

If you want the certification record to live on a public blockchain, we can mint it as an NFT. The token points to the certified record and images, so the provenance travels with the piece rather than sitting in a drawer.

• Minting. We mint the token on your behalf, to a wallet you control.
• Metadata preparation. Artwork files and certification data formatted to the standard the chain and marketplaces expect.
• Decentralised storage. Images and metadata pinned to IPFS so the token does not point at a link that can quietly disappear.
• Wallet setup and handover. If you do not already have a wallet, we set one up with you and walk through securing it.
• Marketplace listing. Optional help getting the piece listed and presented properly.
• Collections and editions. Multi piece drops and numbered editions, quoted per project.

NFT services start at $100 per piece and can be added to any certification tier. Network gas fees and storage costs are passed through at cost, and we confirm the expected amount with you before minting.

What you receive

Every engagement ends with a certificate and a digital record pack: the documentation, the images, the hash, and, where applicable, the token details and wallet address. It is prepared so you can hand it to a buyer, a gallery, or an insurer and have it stand up.

How pricing works

Certification is fixed price by tier, starting at $50. NFT services start at $100 per piece, plus network and storage fees at cost. Collections, editions, and large archives are quoted up front. We confirm scope and cost in writing before any work begins.
